Dementia Awareness Week – Monday 30 May - Sunday 05 June
Thanks to the Aberdeen City Memories programme there is a range of regular activities and events held across the City and Shire for people living with dementia.
These include Boogie in the Bar, Coffee Morning Memories, Musical Memories at the Cowdray Hall, North-East Memories, Sporting Memories at Aberdeenshire Cricket Ground, Memories Scotland at the Foundry Bar, Our Memories at Aberdeen Art Gallery, Aberdeen FC Community Trust healthy walks programme.
AFC Community Trust created the world’s first national football reminiscence programme for people living with dementia, other forms of memory loss or experiencing loneliness and social isolation. It’s also part of the Scottish FA Para Football & Sports Heritage Scotland Memories Programmes.
