Aberdeen City Food Champions Programme
This a partnership approach to improving access to healthy food and reducing diet related health inequalities.
Food Champions are people who have been identified and supported by the Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership Food in Focus Fund and the Aberdeen City Community Food Network to deliver practical food skills (NHSG confidence to cook ) across Aberdeen (North, South, Central and City wide)
The programme is designed to support the development of community based healthy eating projects. The Trainers are trained to encourage and support people in the community ( or clients) to make healthy food choices using the NHS Grampian Train the Trainer package- Confidence to Cook (C2C)
