I want to Thank all of you who attended this year’s Connect Conference, and I wouldn’t be Chief Officer Sandra Ross if I didn’t take this opportunity to say a few words about my passion – which is the successful integration of health and social care.

It is your great ideas and initiatives, which I have heard so many of them at my regular Open Forum sessions, that which are leading the process of transformation and making us an even better organisation every single day.  

All of us together are working side by side with the people of Aberdeen to make them fitter, healthier and more able and confident to manage their own conditions.

We can take pride in the services we deliver, and we can be proud, too, that our citizens are so often proud of the quality of the services we have in this city.

Of course, we have more to do – but we meet so many challenges every day and I am sure we will successfully rise to more as the years go by and our Partnership continues to develop and grow.

Take full advantage of everything that’s on each opportunity to integrate with colleagues, either at events like the Conference or at the regular Integration workshops. Speak to your colleagues from all the different parts of our partnership. Let’s share and learn.
