Prioritising How We Spend Our Budget

Health & Social Care Partnerships have had to achieve savings for several years and achieving these savings, while maintaining service levels, has become increasingly difficult. Across Scotland, HSCPs are having to consider more significant options in pursuit of maintaining statutory duties.

Budget Consultations

Aberdeen City Health & Social Care Partnership launched a public consultation on the 2025/26 budget on 25th October 2024.

Aberdeen City Council also launched phase 2 of its public consultation on this date. Phase 2 includes additional options to those already consulted in phase 1.

Our Savings Options

In order to try to balance the budget, the following options are being developed for consideration by the Integration Joint Board in March 2024.

No decision has been made. We want to understand the effects of each option and identify reasonable ways to minimise any negative impact on you.

The impact of different options

We want to understand the potential impact of each option and identify  possible, reasonable ways to minimise any negative impact on you.

To enable us to assess the impact of the options, we are asking respondents to indicate to what extent they would negatively impact you.

  • If you feel the option would not have any change on you then please select no impact
  • If you feel the option would cause minimal change to you please select low impact
  • If you feel the option would result in moderate change to you please select medium impact
  • If you feel the option would result in significant change for you please select high impact.

We will update and publish an impact assessment for each of the budget options alongside the publication of the Medium Term Financial Framework. The final impact assessment and all feedback and evidence will be considered by the IJB when it sets its budget in March 2025.
