IJB March meeting

Aberdeen’s Integration Joint Board will meet at the Town House on Tuesday (28 March). Among other matters, the board will consider a report on Transformation Programme projects, including –  the establishment of mental health community hubs; an initiative to allow independent care providers to play a fuller part in Aberdeen’s integrated health and care services; a boost for the city’s social transport service; and continued funding for Alzheimer’s Scotland’s post-diagnostic support service. Board members will discuss proposals to pilot a Dutch-style model of community nursing and home care in Aberdeen, known as ‘Buurtzorg’, and a report on funding for the living wage and ‘sleepover’ duties for care workers. An item will also be tabled which seeks board approval for Aberdeen City Health & Social Care Partnership to participate in a national scheme to measure improvement under health and social care integration. The meeting will be held at 10am in Committee Room 2 and is open to the public and the media.
