Among other matters, the board will consider papers on:

  • ongoing improvements in dealing with delayed discharges;
  • Transformation projects, including: establishing a staff team to drive forward work on IT, infrastructure and data sharing; and the role of Link Workers within the Partnership;
  • ACHSCP spending up to the end of November 2016;
  • the Chief Social Work Officer’s Annual Report;
  • the new Local Outcome Improvement Plan 2016–26 for Aberdeen.

Board members will also receive bulletin updates on:

  • ACHSCP’s HEART Awards, to be held in February to recognise staff achievements;
  • adult support and protection improvements;
  • National Care Standards consultation;
  • praise from the Scottish government for efforts in Aberdeen to reduce delayed discharges;
  • the launch of the Partnership’s OurIDEAS hub, a web-based ideas management platform designed to allow staff to contribute ideas for collaboration, innovation and efficiency.

The IJB meeting will be the first to be chaired by Jonathan Passmore. Mr Passmore, the previous vice-chair, is taking over as chairperson from Cllr Len Ironside, who becomes vice-chair, under the Standing Orders which govern the rotation of the IJB chair in Aberdeen between a health board and a local authority member. Mr Passmore will chair the board for the next two years.

The bulk of next Tuesday’s meeting will be open to the public and the media.
